CEO: Sadik Hafizovic
Sadik Hafizovic is Zurich Instruments' CEO and co-founder, and serves on the company's board of directors. He runs the organization, and is responsible for the company strategy and for driving business development. Sadik has been the CEO of Zurich Instruments since the incorporation in 2008. In the founding years of Zurich Instruments, he was also responsible for digital signal processing and graphical user interfaces. He is an expert in digital signal processing, and was a successful business owner before he founded Zurich Instruments. Sadik earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and underwent management training at the University of St. Gallen.
CTO: Flavio Heer
Flavio Heer is Zurich Instruments' CTO and co-founder, and serves on the company's board of directors. He is responsible for hardware development, IP management, finances, and supply chain management. Flavio received both his Master's degree and his Ph.D. from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and he underwent management training at the University of St. Gallen. He is an expert in hardware design with a deep understanding of analog circuits and signal processing. Flavio is passionate about applying his expertise to solving scientific challenges.
VP R&D and VP HR: Adrian Messmer
Adrian Messmer is Zurich Instruments' Vice President of Research and Development, and is responsible for the management of the R&D team and of HR. Adrian joined Zurich Instruments in 2012; he previously worked at Philips Semiconductors, NXP, and ST-Ericsson as Development Manager for mobile communication platforms. With more than 25 years of experience in international high-tech environments, he is a reference for people, project and change management. Adrian holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Advanced Studies degree in Human Resources.
CMO: Jan Benhelm
Jan Benhelm is Zurich Instruments' CMO and is responsible for marketing, product management, and application development. He joined the Zurich Instruments marketing and sales team in 2011 as an application scientist, and held numerous positions before being appointed CMO in April 2019. Prior to joining Zurich Instruments, he spent two years at Malik Management Center in St. Gallen, Switzerland. As a management consultant, he developed quantitative HR models with clients and a passion for a systemic management and leadership approach that puts people at the heart of the enterprise. Jan earned a Ph.D. in physics on trapped-ion quantum computing, working in the group of Prof. Rainer Blatt in Innsbruck, Austria.
